I am certain that I once found the setting to be able to start typing a character on column number 0 when you create a new text file and click anywhere on the line or in an opened file.
But instead the cursor remains where you left click on an active line and typing will begin where the cursor is along the line. How do you set it as any text editor where anything you type begins at the beginning of the line at column 0, and the cursor always begins at column 0 too when you click on an active line?
