Hi Jan, your program is my favorite tool for editing files. However, I cannot find a simple way to check a file encoding with it. OK, it detects correctly the file encoding but does not allow me to know it. In the "Encoding" menu, the first entry (ANSI default) is marked with a star, but no other entry is checked. I would expect that, if I open en UTF8 file, it not only detects automatically UTF8 BUT also displays a check mark in front of UTF8 entry. I am using the french version.
