Do we have a revision history in ATA/ATAPI-4 that would indicate what was obsoleted? It would be good to know what would disappear. It may be that the time is right for some stuff to disappear...

Folks,
I have been notified by INCITS that ATA-3 is up for maintenance
this year.
T13 must recommend whether we want ATA-3
reaffirmed, revised, or withdrawn
by June 18th so we
need to make our decision by the April meeting.
Please think about this so we can discuss it at the February
meeting. I ask
you to think seriously about it since
ATA-3 contains descriptions of a
number of features that
have been made obsolete or retired in subsequent
standards.
