We believe the vote on this proposal as written should be NO. We believe the recommendation should be modified to have the <HOST> limit the burst if they require the increase in data integrity. Hosts that aren't as concerned with the data integrity (PVR's for example) won't have their data rate limited if the proposal recommends implementation on the host side. Different strategies are preferred for different applications. ... besides, implementing this on the drive side would substantially reduce performance.
