To T13 members, associates, and friends - This is to inform you that I am being laid off , 4 April will be my last day at Maxtor. I will chair the February meeting as planned and, as promised, will deliver a ATA/ATAPI-7 rev 2 with Serial ATA as volume 3 as soon as the Serial ATA consortium promoters have filed their copyright releases with INCITS. I have talked to Vice-chair Dan Colegrove and he has agreed that he will chair meetings after the February meeting until INCITS has appointed a new chair. We can discuss the procedure for all of this at the February meeting. I would recommend that all principal members think about whether they might wish to volunteer for either the chairman job or the editor job for ATA/ATAPI-7.
