Another question. Should this read 1.0 and 1.0a? I'm not sure what the original license covered. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Mark Overby Sent: Thursday, April 29, 2004 11:55 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [t13] SATA website info This message is from the T13 list server. I was forwarded an interesting blurb from the SATA website: "Effective April 15, 2003, The Serial ATA 1.0 Adopters Agreement ("Agreement") will no longer be available, except for where required by the Agreement. The Agreement provides a license to the Serial ATA 1.0 technology. The terms of previously executed Agreements shall continue to apply. Those wishing to execute the Agreement are encouraged to do so before the April 15 deadline. After April 15, 2003, a license to the Serial ATA 1.0 technology may be obtained from the INCITS T13 organization under the licensing terms of the INCITS T13 organization." Unless I misunderstand something fundemental, we don't "license" technology from T13. Perhaps we should get them to alter that text?
