The current Tagged Queued commands should not be obsolete. The device manufacturer has the option to support them or not. In some instances the existing commands will provide better performance than the Native Command queuing (btw the native commands do really use a tag - the delivery protocol is different). The new commands are available from www.serialata.org - no membership of the secret society require. Now that they are released I do not understand why they are not in ATA-8???? -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Hale Landis Sent: Tuesday, 07 December, 2004 14:03 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [t13] ATAPI Overlap and Queuing This message is from the T13 list server. Has the old ATA O/Q stuff been deleted too? If not, it should also be deleted (technically, all this old O/Q stuff should be made "obsolete"). BTW... Where are the new queuing commands currently documented? Still in a "secret society" doc or some doc that is public? Hale -- ++ Hale Landis ++ www.ata-atapi.com ++
