Sigh... Why is this back?

This is totally unneeded and confusing.

This is simple... A device that has status of BSY=0 DRQ=1 and ERR=1
has violated the PIO Data In protocol (in ATA/ATAPI-7 see Figure 48
"Device PIO data-in state diagram) and/or has violated the PIO Data
Out protocol state diagram (in ATA/ATAPI-7 see Figure 50 "Device PIO
Data data-Out state diagram).

I'm sorry if some device implementer designed a device that violates
the PIO data transfer command protocol and rules, but that is no
reason to add such a confusing SET FEATURES subcommand to the
standard.
