An error has been reported against the version of e05120r3 that was voted on and accepted at the June meeting. I wonder why none of us caught it. It says that word 106, bit 12 indicates whether or not word 209 is valid. That should be bit 13 '1=device has multiple logical sectors per physical sector'. Bit 12 makes no sense: '1=device logical sector longer than 256 words' I rolled a new revision of the doc for people to reference until it shows up in an ATA8-ACS draft. > http://t13.org/docs2005/e05120r4-ACS-logical_sector_alignment.pdf Thank You !!! ----------------------------------------------------------------- Jim Hatfield Seagate Technology LLC e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] s-mail: 389 Disc Drive; Longmont, CO 80503 USA voice: 720-684-2120 fax....: 720-684-2711 ==========================================
