Rob Elliott found a corrupted PDF and regenerated it from the original DOC
file.
This is the "Auto polling" proposal from Tony Goodfellow (08/20/97) that
was
incorporated into ATA/ATAPI-4.
The original corrupted PDF remains accessible via FTP.
Links to the corrected PDF have been posted to
a) T13.org -> Documents 2006 (at the top of the list)
(and)
b) t13.org -> Documents 2000-1996 (replacing the old link for
d97142r1)

PM d97142r1.pdf is corrupted
The PDF file for d97142r1.pdf on the T13 web site is corrupted - the bottom
of page 3 packs one paragraph into one line with overlapping characters.
The .doc file on the web site is fine. A .pdf file regenerated from the
.doc is attached.
