I tried to remember what I did and that wasn't quite right. I just repeated the sequence. This is it correctly: Pick Edit>Select all Pick Edit>Deselect inside area (and make a window around your PCB) then do a control delete and that will do it. Sorry for the error. Hi Brad. This happened to me recently and it drove me nuts too. I did what you did tried to delete everything outside a defined rectangle and didn't get anything, but I knew it was there. Then I did a SELECT ALL and then deleted everything OUTSIDE a defined area and that worked. Don't ask me why, but it did. Hi guys, I have a problem which is driving me nuts. I have a PCB which I just finished placing, there is something outside of the visible area of the components and PCB outline. Using Zoom All I get a window approx. twice the size expected. I cannot find anything outside of the expected area of the PCB. Trying to determine what is out there, I used the select outside area and selected my PCB outline. The selection selects approx. 12 varied components within my PCB outline. Now I know that there is something with regards to these components which is outside the PCB area. What is it? What can it possibly be? How do I find it? I didn't unlock the primitives of any of my components, nothing weird, just brought then into the db and placed them within the PCB outline. I also used select inside area and copied the PCB to a new database, same issue. So the errant detail seems to be included with the components in my PCB. Any tips, suggestions or solutions are appreciated. Brad Velander, Lead PCB Designer, Norsat International Inc., #300 - 4401 Still Creek Dr., Burnaby, B.C., V5C 6G9. Tel.
