Okay. :-)
If the pins are hidden, they will establish net connectivity ... for what?
They will not take the place of a power object, which has a visible hot
spot and which causes any pin or wire in contact with it to take on the
power object's net.
Having said that, and remembering that it is always easier to shoot down a
new idea than to figure out how to make it work (ever notice this?):
One could make a symbol with both a hidden pin and a visible pin with the
same number. The hidden pin will cause net connectivity for the visible
pin. Maybe. However, this would also cause a new component to be created;
presumably one that will not have a footprint assigned to it, so it won't
end up on the PCB, but it might make for some confusion. Might be worth trying.
