        I wonder about your comment on the origin of mitering. Have you ever
tried to radius tape without bunching and bulging with the tape eventually
creeping and pulling from the mylar? I would be sure that the origins of
mitering started long before advent of CAD systems. As a matter of fact I
know it did because I was mitering taped PCBs long before there were any CAD
systems available to any but the richest Fortune 500 companies. There were
other taping systems which would allow radii to be used but they were almost
more of a pain then tape, especially for changes.
