Try also the Logitech Mouse Driver. I remember there was a mailsone month
ago about Microsoft/Logitech wheel mouse driver. If I remember correct, the
Logitech made less trouble.

PS: I use a Logitech wheel mouse with the Logitech driver without the
described problems.
