Here's a short info about the speakers.
Dr. Sparks directs the Online Masters Program in Education
Technology at Pepperdine University. He is past director of the
EdTech Doctoral Program and guides courses in human-computer
interaction, consulting and constructivist leadership.
Previously he directed virtual collaboration at 3iNetworks,
learning technologies for Rockwell International, and a
corporate university for Epoch Internet. Dr. Sparks researches
virtual learning environments including Serious Games, Second
Life and Online Communities.
Mr. Lee is a native of Taiwan, Jeff has extensive experience in
East Asia, including mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. A
graduate of Pepperdine University, he holds a Masters in
Educational Technology and is currently a doctoral student at
Pepperdine. Jeff taught elementary school for 10 years in Los
Angeles and currently works with the Gifted and Talented
Education (GATE) program. He coordinates an online program which
includes 300 students and 20 teachers from three districts. Jeff
was the coordinator of the California State Fullerton's Teacher
Exchange program, a joint-partnership with Shanghai University.
Jeff joined Community Development Network in 2004 and is
currently a board member. CDN developed software training tools
tailored for Neplai-content utilized in by Tulasi Meher UNESCO
Club (TMUC) in its youth technology centers.
