Dear Ujwal, Good to see that you had the opportunity to use Opensuse 10.2. While you mention that you are facing issues on connecting the internet, you might want to check on what network adapter / modem / wireless adapter you are using.
You could get help on compatible hardware at http://en.opensuse.org/Hardware Alternatively you might want to check out how to configure at http://en.opensuse.org/Configuration I hope you would be able to find out the issue for the non compatibility on your current hardware.
