Its a good news and probably a good news either. But, many questions must be thought of beside just cheering up and exclaming wow!, amazing and so and so.
First, is it true to have TLDs "परीक्षा" or some thing else. I do not think so. I still remember the news relayed to me regarding the TLD for adult sites to be assigned as ".XXX", (do not take this in any other perspectives) this was a good solution, and something appreciative, but this was rejected , (Better ggl for reasons). Let's hope this is just a test one, there won't be something like चना.खाउ because, this will create a big trouble in the standardization Second, When Tim Berners Lee (WWW creator) was asked about what is the change he wants to make in the INTERNET, the reply was, he wants to change the order of TLDs and the subdomains as for example www.fossnepal.org to org.fossnepal and other subdomains to follow accordingly. eg. org.fossnepal.sfd, It has many benefits, I can perceive and most of us can. Third, when I type हिन्दी.com, it redirects automatically to http://xn--j2bd4cyah0f.com//. Many things happen here. I have to switch from Devnagari to Roman scripts right from the address bar. And a lot more confusions. Some technical also. However, I am never to the against of Localisation and UNICODE Revolution like this. But, it requires a lot of workout to finalize . That may be the reason why it has been in the evaluation phase. For betterment, not just for localization.
