Well, you might have gone through this already but I'm posting this because I completed my setup based on this single document. I did, however, go through the architecture document once to understand the concepts. For my particular case, I created one single conf file (wapkannel.conf) as described in the document. For some reason, I could'nt get my version of kannel to work properly in daemon mode so I launched the boxes from the command line. Get the bearerbox running first: /wapgw/bearerbox -v 1 wapkannel.conf While the bearerbox is running, bring up the wapbox (or the smsbox) too: /wapgw/wapbox -v 1 wapkannel.conf While you are in the initial stage of the tests, you can use some freeware phone simulator to browse web via kannel. I used a Nokia simulator (really ugly but free) before testing it on a real phone. I ran the simulator in one of the machines in the subnet and asked it to use the wapbox as its gateway. This simple config worked fine for me. Good luck :-) prob On Nov 13, 2007 5:35 PM, Dev Mohanty <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Thanks for the heads up prob... Would love to know more about it.
