http://vietnamnews.vnagency.com.vn/showarticle.php?num=03ECO81207 HA NOI— The Communication and Information Ministry has recommended Government agencies use open source software when using funds from the State budget to purchase or implement IT projects. The ministry issued a list of open source software which includes Open Office, Thunderbird, Firefox and Unikey. A ministry official refused to comment on whether the move was made as a means of reducing software infringement in Viet Nam or stimulating demand for research. -- Thanks and Regards, - sree Sreekanth S Rameshaiah Executive Director Mahiti Infotech Pvt.
