Dear all, A team of 4 under my coordination successfully deployed the HeNN E-Library in Shree Janta Namuna Higher secondary School. Team members: *1. Prabin Gautam- Coordinator 2. The experience we had cannot be described in words available. The Previous deployments and rest were/are a very different from the one we had in Morang. Deployment was first HeNN E-library in Urban Area but in govt. school whose students are poor below the line and who works for other. At the same time, the school also teaches pupils who are audibly challenged (is the word correct?). The detailed report of the deployment will be submitted later. But I want to highlight the challenges we had: 1. Feasiblity study was not done earlier. 2. School never knew what we are giving them.. They thought +7 computers are entering the school and 9/10 grade students will have good practical classes to pass SLC. Not more than that..... 3. The no. 2 point led to the lack of responsible person to look for the system after being deployed. 4. Convincing about e-library until the system was demonstrated. 5. The lab was made ready only after we reached there... no wiring, nothing........ This reduced the time we allocated for training.:( And lots more... The deployment brought many new ideas and ways which would be helpful for future deployments. We hope to prepare a guideline for E-library establishment, Which should be followed while doing future deployments. Akash will upload pics from the deployment trip soon. hope he does it soon.
