Dear Bipin, Although it's not clear from your statement of the problem regarding whether the you mistakenly deleted/erased the linux partitions while installing windows, or you are unable to find a boot entry for you linux, I'm making these assumptions: 1. You had previously installed Fedora 7 2. You were using dual boot (Fedora 7 and Windows) 3. While re-installing Windows, you lost your boot entry for Fedora 7 in your boot loader. Well, in this case, you can restore your Linux Entry (i.e. GRUB Bootloader) by following these steps: 1. Boot from the Fedora 7 CD/DVD 2. Select "Rescue" from the boot menu (alternatively you can type "linux rescue" at the boot prompt. 3. A dialog will appear asking you if you would like to mount read-only or read-write, continue with read-write (don't select read-only or don't cancel). 4. It will mount your Fedora 7 Installation directory at /mnt/sysimage and it will drop you to the shell. At the shell, type: chroot /mnt/sysimage 5. Hence you have set your root partition to the Fedora 7 original installation. Now check the partitions at the shell using: fdisk -l 6. There must be entries like /dev/sda1, /dev/sda2 etc. Check in which disk is Fedora 7 installed (I assume that it's in /dev/sdax, where "x" is a number like 1,2,...). This means that Fedora 7 is installed in the first primary harddisk. 7. Now run this command at shell: grub-install /dev/sda Note: Don't forget to change /dev/sda with the actual entry at your computer 8. Reboot. You'll get your GRUB (boot loader) restored.
