Network Engineer
Job Description: Should have good hands on experience of planning &
optimizing Wireless and Wired Networks. The candidate will divide time
between network engineering and linux system administration.
Desired Networking Skills:
1. Fundamentals of Wireless technology such as WI-FI and VLANs.
2. Network planning and familiarity with Wi-Fi Radio Frequency.
3. Scalability modeling.
4. Network management and well versed with QOS parameters for both
data and voice.
5. Thorough understanding of Gateway and TCP/IP protocol.
6. Familiarity with various vendor products such as Deliberants,
Canopies and other Wireless Devices is preferred.
7. Hands on experience with Access Points, Routers with an ability
to configure Firewall & NAT functionalities.
8. Added advantage if experienced in rural networking and the
ability to overcome challenges.
9. Should be innovative and support cost-cutting ideas.
10. Good negotiating skills with ISPs and Telco's.
Linux Skills:
1. Familiarity with configuring DNS, DHCP, and IPTables in linux.
2. Basic knowledge of BASH shell scripting
3. Familiarity with the LAMP software stack
4. Demonstrated ability to learn and work independently.
Desired Profile:
1. The candidate should have experience in designing planning and
analysis of a Wired/ Wireless Network with good experience on
Unix and Linux systems.

Web Developer
Job Description: Will build and maintain education-related websites.
This job not only requires website development but also some linux
system administration. We value demonstrated interest and passion for

1. Familiar with the LAMP stack of technologies, particularly PHP
and MySQL.
2. Familiar with Flash, javascript, and other client-side
presentation technologies.
3. Hands-on experience monitoring and benchmarking performance for
websites.
4. Familiar with the linux command line.
5. 2-3 years of web development experience

1. Experience working with Tomcat

Instructional Designer
Job Description: Individual will work with educators and engineers at
OLE Nepal to develop interactive digital learning materials that are
aligned with Nepal's national curriculum. The individual will
particularly focus on adapting non-Nepali language digital materials to
the Nepali context. The individual should be familiar with Internet
technologies but does not need to be an engineer. Professional
Experience: Required: Some teaching experience in a primary or secondary
school. Education: Bachelor's degree in Education Other Skills:
Excellent written and spoken Nepali and English Able or willing to
quickly learn how to type Nepali Unicode Savvy using computers and
Internet technologies.
Flash Developer
Job Description: Will develop computer based learning activities using
Action Script 3.
Required Skills:
1. Creative
2. 2-3 Experience in using Flash
