This is "Twitter for Dummies" Twitter is a place where you can send quick little snippets of information about what you are doing. You can also reply to what other people are doing in small snippets. Twitter only allows you to send messages that are 140 characters or less. There are other similar microblogging tools like identi.ca etc. Twitter is the first among them.
1. Create your account at twitter.com 2. Find your friends and start following them. 3. You can use twitter via the twitter website or many other media. In some countries (including India, UK, USA), you can use your cell phone to send and receive updates. For Nepal, I would suggest using the firefox plugin "TwitterFox" or "TwitterFeed" and a GNOME based app "Twitux". They automatically update the tweets of those you are following. To use in your blog, webpages, etc, you can also use the RSS feeds. 4. By following FOSS Nepal on twitter, you will be updated in meeting calls, important news, updates etc if you have missed something on the list or wiki :) regards.
