Manish, are specifying the right encryption security mode while connecting to your modem. By this I mean, are specifying whether your mode is WEP, WPA, etc and whether the key is in HEX or ASCII. Normally, we use WEP with Hex encryption. Try figuring that out, it might just help. Next thing is, for broadcom or bcm4xx devices you need special restricted drivers, do you have them or not. Do check your dmesg to see if there is any error.
