As u all may be aware that : FOSS Nepal Community and NITC organized a workshop for Govt. officers from all ministries and commissions of Nepal Government on *16th May 2008 at Hotel Del'Annapurna entitled "*An Alternative Perspective on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in Information Technology (IT)*" We (FOSS Nepal and some staffs of NITC) had worked really hard for it. We succeeded in accomplishing the goal we set for the program. It was awesome. But My concern lies here: The News at NITC website which is http://nitc.gov.np/eventdetail.php?eventid=11 says: A workshop on An Alternative Perspective on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in Information Technology (IT) National Information Technology Center (NITC) together with Assocaition of Computer Engineers Nepal organized one day workshop on "An Alternative Perspective on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in Information Technology (IT)" on 16th May 2008 at Hotel Del'Annapurna, Durbar Marg, Kathmandu. The objectives of the workshop are to raise awareness on IPR issues and developments in IT and to identify action items for incorporating alternative perspectives of IPRs in IT. About 70 participants from Government, Academia, NGO and private sector partcipated in the event. Where is FOSS Nepal in this News? What was role of Association of Computer Engineers Nepal in that program? Me too was actively working for the program but I don't know who was there from ACEN.
