Dear Hari,
The first installation and use of Linux feels like a chaos, and
it's quite normal with you. The first thing you need to know is that
application made of Microsoft Windows platform doesn't readily run over
linux. There are alternatives available for windows apps over linux, e.g
there is OpenOffice.org for Microsoft Office. Hence you can use
OpenOffice.org Writer instead of Microsoft Word. Even though you can use
windows apps in linux using an emulator like Wine (see http://winehq.org).
For open source alternatives for proprietary applications you can visit
http://www.osalt.com. For Fedora Specific forum, you can visit
http://www.fedoraforum.org.
I hope this will help you as a roadmap. Even though if you have problems,
you can post to this thread. But please be specific what the problem is and
provide details as much as you can.
