milenani ta bhai, there is more that needs to be done in the sources.list deb line. The format of the deb line, its like this
deb file:///pathtoyouriso/ubuntu/ distroname main restricted And also I doubt that you can upgrade using an ultimate DVD as it is a live DVD which means that it used a squashfs image as opposed to the .deb files pool that you need to upgrade Ubuntu. To upgrade you need the alternate version of the CD/DVD. Hope it answers your questions.
