Try this
( WARNING ! ALL FOLDERS/FILES WILL BE DELETED ! Make copies somewhere else
before you proceed )
1) Open a terminal
Alt+F2
gnome-terminal
2) In Terminal ( ALL FILES/FOLDERS WILL BE DELETED )
$ cd ~/Desktop
$ rm -rfv *
hope that works !
