In most case u need no driver for printer. The linux itself recognizes. in order to configure printer / cups in linux try: in browser: http://localhost:631/ <enter>
The the printer configuration page appears. click on add printer and go on. u can select cannon from the list and find appropriate model. Hope it helps.
