This is to inform everyone in the Open Source world that "NCIT Open Source Klub (NOSK) - http://nosk.org.np"; is going to organize an event named OpenFest '09 on 6th and 7th August and NCIT is organizing NaSCoIT (http://nascoit-2009.org.np) on 8th August.
OpenFest is targetted to all the colleges and universities all over nepal. Some planned events are: 1. Inter College Project Competition (Software and Hardware, any kind) 2. Open Source Software and OS demos. 3. Network Gaming Competition 4. Technical Quiz Competition 5. Talk on Open Source 6. Short Movie Shows For this purpose we need help from other colleges as well. We need to have a meeting with FOSS Nepal as well for the planning purposes. I will diiscuss it in next post. NaSCoIT is one of the regular events done by NCIT. It is National Students' Conference on IT. Technical papers are called. Anyone, be it student or professional can present a paper in NaSCoIT. And the best thing is that this year's theme is Open Source.
