The First meeting of Software freedom day 009. FOSS Nepal team held a meeting with College students on 2066/3/20 Saturday at Amrit Science Campus Thamel and discussed in the following issues:
1. *Regular meetings.** We will have bi-weekly or later on weekly meeting to prepare for SFD.* 2. *Fund finding.** On finance team cannot find and collect funds. Therefore everyone who can possibly do should do. We need many members to convince our donors and partners. * 3. *Preparing concept paper and documentation.** We need to prepare the concept paper for the SFD. This is essential as based on this paper we will be finding doners and they will be funding for the event.* *Events* *A. Per SFD:* 1. *Pre-event paper presentation.* *The papers based on theme “FOSS for Enterprises” can be presented at NCIT's program. The papers will be part of SFD preparation. * 2. *College visit*. *As usual we will have maximum college visit before SFD. The orientation, install fest and discussion will be programs on every college visit* *B. On SFD* 1. Documentary – compile existing docs - Make 2. DISTRO_DEMO Different distribution ( fedora, Nepalinux, ubuntu ....) 3. Art work - Art about Linux useful tools 4. Install Fest. 5. Materials 6. Nirvikalpa CD 2.0 Release 7. Fossials 8. Rally- Candle burning 9. OSCN winner's project showcase 10. Sata-Sat GB 11. Help Desk and Counseling *C. After SFD* 1. Documentation 2. Report submission to SF International 3.
