(please forward)

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

It is my pleasure to contact you regarding the upcoming Global Student Forum
(GSF), put on by the Student Platform for Engineering Education Development
(SPEED). The GSF will be held in conjunction with ASEE's Global Colloquium
in Budapest, with the theme of "Ensuring Equitable and Diverse Global
Representation within Engineering Education". By partnering with the ASEE's
GCEE, students will work alongside leaders in the field of engineering
education.

As diverse, key stakeholders in this field, we encourage you to forward
information about this event to any and all relevant contacts you have, and,
if you are an interested student, to apply to join us in Hungary. We have
just extended the deadline: MONDAY, AUGUST 31.

It is essential that we have a vibrant and varied group for these important
discussions. We will discuss access issues in engineering for students
specifically and then with the wider Global Colloquium audience. By the end
of the forum individual student leaders should have action plans to address
diversity issues in their home institution, and we will have a conclusion
from our international group of participants that presents our collective
voice on the question of equity in engineering education.

Further information and the application can be found here:

Please do not hesitate to contact me or the GSF chair with any comments or
questions. We would like to make sure we have an enthusiastic, diverse
crowd, so I would urge you to contact us!

Best wishes,
