In my view #kathmandu is better than #ktm. There are two reasons:
1) #ktm is used by some other brand name. please try to use search feature
in twitter with #ktm tag. It will give very results not related to
kathmandu.
2) For other location like chitwan, biratnagar there might be problem for
short form. what should they use?

Tags are for making other search easy. I think we are not going to post
loooooooooong description in twitter. In my plan i will post the event
update in short sentence but frequently. So i think there won't much problem
of characters.

The main goal of it is to let other know what is happening in SFD09 at
Kathmandu.
