Hi,i have been trying to configure one of my friend`s broadband connection
in Debian 5.0. His ISP provided his line with "dial-up-type". That means, he
needs to login in order to connect to internet. He has been using this in
Windows. Now, he installed Debian 5.0 there; but he cannot configure his
internet. I took a look and tried like this way:

1. installed pppoe
2. went to network-manager
3. opened network-manager; selected pppoe and gave username and password
4. tried to *select that pppoe; but i cannot enable it. I mean, i put a tick
just beside of it and the tick is gone!! i mean, i cannot enable that pppoe
connection there in Debian 5.0.

**Here, another thing is, i ran pppoeconf in command prompt; it ran and at
last gave me the result that...."Sorry... nothing to do.... ethernet port
may be busy with other programs..."*
