I am not not defining the term. Google is such as wonderful search
engine ;-) Maybe you are the one that's _implying_ that I am defining
the term. You are clearly wrong sire.

Can you kindly expound on what you mean perhaps with a little bit more
word next time cause i don't really understand what you mean above :)

A few random thoughts:
Script-kiddies are very different compared to pentesters. Pentesters
are basically the people who perform vulnerability assessments of some
arbitrary service infrastructures; be it social vulnerability,
network, OS etc... To my understanding, they perform those tasks under
clear guidance and in accordance to the laws of jurisdiction or the
company they are assesing; On the other hand, script kiddies or
freeloaders are the ones who download and/or may patch few stuffs here
and ther; then do stuffs illegitimately. To that end, i believe you
are comparing two stuffs that are related only in that they are
involved with penetrating a network or breaking into things..

Coming to the point now, no i don't think it's not fine to label
hackers as "people who do nasty shit"; and yes it's shameful some
people follow blindly to the media's perception of who or who isn't
considered a 'hacker'; it's sad but it's true.
