To: [email protected], Save the date and apply now! SPEED is hosting the 7th Global Student Forum (GSF), to be held in Singapore in conjunction with the World Engineering Education Forum (WEEF). This week-long event will be take place October 15-21. Please visit ( http://worldspeed.org/) and apply online to participate. This year's GSF will focus on the theme of "Developing Future Global Engineers". As such, outreach and K-12 education will be central components to our discussions. We invite all motivated engineering leaders from all disciplines and all regions of the world to participate in this international, interdisciplinary event. Previous events have motivated the initiation of networking websites, improved the feedback system for professors at a student's university, and allowed a group of students to understand that with the right tools they can really make a difference in shaping the educational experience at their home institutions. In addition to the Forum, participation in all WEEF events will allow you to experience an international conference that is focused on improving engineering education. Who better than to attend this event than the people the outcomes are directly affecting? Come share your ideas and help work toward improving the educational experience for future generations of engineers. While direct experience in the field of engineering education is not a requirement for participation in this Forum, if you do have a project or a program that you feel is important and relevant, we encourage you to submit an abstract to present your work at WEEF in the form of a poster or oral presentation. Registration in the GSF will include all housing, meals and necessary transportation for the entire week, as well as cultural excursions and social events. WEEF registration is also included. Please visit our website for more information. Direct questions to Sonya Seif-Naraghi via email at [email protected]. Thank you and we look forward to meeting you in Singapore! with warm greetings Yadav Bhattarai PO Box 9339 Kathmandu 44600 Nepal C: +977 984 145 39 23 E: [email protected] E: [email protected] Skype: yadavyadu2004 WNSO Nepal : http://wnso.org.np Blog: http://yadavbhattarai.com.np Twitter: http://twitter.com/yadavbhattarai TIG: http://profiles.tigweb.org/yadavyadu2004 Linkedin: http://www.linkedin.com/in/yadavbhattarai Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/yadav.bhattarai -- FOSS Nepal mailing list: [email protected] http://groups.google.com/group/foss-nepal To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] Mailing List Guidelines: http://wiki.fossnepal.org/index.php?title=Mailing_List_Guidelines Community website: http://www.fossnepal.org/
