Terminology please. Hacking is the art of programming. Hackers are people who are passionate about solving challenging problems, and take it to the highest level. What you are referring to is called cracking. Yes, the media has misused the term a lot. Please keep the sanity of the word hackers atleast in F/OSS mailing lists.
