Well Skype can be found in partner repository of ubuntu which has to
be enabled from repositories in synaptic. For beginner I would also
recommend
http://www.andlinux.org/ which is ubuntu environment inside windows to
get used to linux. I would suggest a side by side installation of
linux inside windows
with wubi. And if you really wanna switch better take a hard way and
install just latest ubuntu LTS i.e Ubuntu 10.04. Well for the support
and help fossNepal mailing list is always active and so is the IRC on
freenode #foss-nepal and there is another irc for Nepali ubuntu users
#ubuntu-np as well.
