Bugs are a part of software. No software in the world can be perfect. In
case of FOSS, this is how software gets mature. Bugs are reported by people
like us, and a large pool of enthusiastic developers are willing to debug
them. So you can help to make this software mature by reporting bugs to
proper place.
Talking about your problem, unity is a new Graphical Interface developed by
Ubuntu. If you like adventure, you can try other interfaces like KDE,
Gnome, xfce. All of them have some pros and cons.
