Dear FOSSians, As we are aware that there are various initiatives of FOSS in Nepal, though the they are rarely published by the Mainstream media in Nepal. During this SFD some wonderful friends from Media are supporting us to author good case studies and learnings from the ground up approach of the FOSS in Nepal. They are looking for some suggestions from some schools using FOSS in Kathmandu or in other places. If the initiatives are in nearby Kathmandu Valley, they would be happy to visit these venues or just in case they are outside the Kathmandu Valley, than may be they can do a Skype with them.
The final output will an interesting case study about FOSS, progress, and its prospective in these places. In this effort, they will also be interested to visit or talk to a business or NGOs who are using the FOSS model of development and user base in really interesting way in Nepalese society. Including IT/software department that can also give some insights. The above text seems bit pre-documented, but CAN we list those projects / Initiatives and Contact persons from the ground with whom these media friends could interact and explore about the work they have done in FOSS.
