Every distro have their own objective. so what are you looking for be clear on that and choose the stable distro among them for your purpose. Its open source every distro have its momentum of development. Switching distro for testing purpose is one thing and using it for work is another part. Things to remember choosing distro: a. What do you want from your os be clear to ur self. b. Do you want server or desktop os c. if server which platform are you going to work d. choose the best community support with large community base e. choose your favourable one to which you can switch faster and in ease f. Think about long term release and relaible downloads of the updates g. are appropriate hardware driver available for your machines and many more on the contras of your work with the machine.
