Dear all, Saturday we will be meeting formally for last time before SFD. We have seen very less faces so far. I personally would expect some more this time. I have always been optimistic about our members. Now this is real time to take some specific responsibility. Its not like +1, like or retweeting posts. This is showtime. What community is looking is "platform creator" than "break dancer".
Let me summarize the work of individual teams 1. Finance Team: We are still looking for sponsorship. We have only few positive response. If anyone is willing to support or can connect finance team to potential sponsors, Please. we need your help. 2. Artwork: Poster is final except for logos of sponsors. Tshirt is finalized and registration is open. We have 24 registered so far. We have only few days left. So please register ASAP. We will also collect money from the members for tshirt in our saturday meeting. Sticker is designed. Its nice!!!. Flex and other banners need to be designed. we have one used in softtech. We need to design more. but we can do that in last few days. 3. Event management team:For venue, We had to pay by today. we used the money we collected at softech by selling DVDs. It was not enough so me and hempal dai have used our money to book the venue. Event management team has called for final meeting on this coming saturday at 2pm in putalisadak. 4. Presentation/Panel team:No updates. Chandan was suppose to finalize tech presentation but never reported what he has planned. Neither do we have any updates from Panel discussion team. Khai hola jasto chaina.. if anyone want to Lead this team please do. 5. Documentation team: I called for meeting this week but I was alone waiting. 6. Troubleshooting team : Dont have any members or leads 7. Material team: Not activated. Artwork team is compelled to see this as well. 8. Nirvikalpa: Have been working over physical meeting, irc, mails, etherpad every platform to make it a happening. Have given list of softwares for downloads to our members from ISP. We must have those my saturday evening 14th sept. 9. College Coordination team: working. 10. Social Media team: Trying to FOSSpam facebook and twitter as much as we can. 11. Media team: Today me, Hempal dai and Sagun dai, discussed about the program with journalist from THT. we are hoping to get coverage on this monday's newspaper. 12. Documentary team. Failed. :( Not possible now to make a documentary but we can collect best FOSS documentaries for showcase. 13. Chitwanix 1.0 is arriving to us soon.
