Hi Everyone,

First of I'd like to say that I'm really happy that there is an organised
group for tech enthusiasts here in Nepal.
(I was starting to loose hope :P)

Anyway, back to the topic:

Anyone heard of the HSA(*Heterogeneous System Architecture*) Foundation?
It's a non-profit group that is working on* integrating CPUs, GPUs and
DSPs*into SoCs.
Quite frankly, I didn't think of it much when I first heard of it, but it's
implications can be ENORMOUS.
Here's a link: http://hsafoundation.com/

So everyone's heard of AMD, right?
Well guess what,
AMD (in case you didn't hear) released it's series of *Accelerated
Processing Units* in 2011, code-named "Llano" and now in 2013, it released
it's third generation of APUs, called "Richland".

Why am I telling you all this?

Fusion, or to say APUs,(Take a look at the Elite A-series
APU<http://www.amd.com/us/products/desktop/processors/a-series/Pages/a-series-pib.aspx>)

are turning out to give serious competition to Intel processors.
And people all over the globe are starting to see the APU's real potential.

*Multi-threaded computing era* saw the world's first commercially available
8-core CPU from the AMD FX Series.
(They premiered it by breaking the world record of fasted over-clocked CPU
at 8.7GHz on all 8 cores!)

Now, It's turning out to be a "*Surround Computing Era*".
An era of harnessing the untapped potential of the GPU in *Massive-Scale
Parallelism*,
*
*
*Multi-Platform*: From Eye-glasses(see Google
Glass<http://www.google.com/glass/start/>)
to Room Size!

*Natural-UI: *Day-to-Day interactions with the computer will no longer be
through the keyboard and mouse, but rather natural.
for example, Speech recognition regardless of accents,

So I took the closest chance I got to being a part of this,
and now I'm in charge of Distribution of AMD products in Nepal.

I want you guys to know that these APUs are now available in Nepal.

*p.s:* I don't want to sound like "just another marketing spammer" but all
the game-changing events happening around us,
I just had to post this. I love computers, a hard-core enthusiast. So try
taking a bit of your time and looking into this stuff.
