Hello All, It is great to see so many events coming one after another nowadays. IIRC, after Software Freedom Day, most of the Saturdays are kind of occupied with different events.
Not sure if the attendees know it or not but organizing events is a really difficult task for organizers. So, in order to help organizers with their events as well as help the community itself in various fields let us create specific taskforces on those fields. The members of that task force will be responsible for everything related to that field. Each taskforce should have a lead too. The advantages of creating a task forces are: i. Work division ii. Group Work iii. Gain expertise in certain sector and if they want they can work with another field for more experiences too. iv. Better Community Building v. Super Events. Some of the basic fields I have seen right now have been listed below: 1. Community Managers (Decison Makers, Fund Collectors, ) 2. Event Organizers (Venue management, Volunteer Management, Attendee management etc) 3. Public Relation/Marketing (Blogging, News portals etc) 4. Documentation (Photographers lie here too IMO) 5. Artwork 6. Development (Web pages, Applications, git maintainers) 6. ------ Please add others as required ------- I have created a google form that will take less than 3 minutes to fill up.
