Greetings,
Junu Thapa, one of the MIC Nepal employees, had invited me to DevTech Day
today organised by MIC Nepal. She had said me that Li Jung Chiu[two times
Imagine Cup Finalist], Director of Audience Evangelism, Asia Pacific
region, wanted to meet Hempal Sir to talk about how Microsoft could
collaborate with the open source comunities in Nepal. However, She said
that she had contacted Hempal Sir but he was busy today. Li Jung Chiu told
that Microsoft has now changed. Also, she told that they were getting much
more open <http://microsoft.com/openness> than before. She was trying to
ask me who was the main person or main decision maker in FOSS Nepal. But,
all I said was everyone are equal over here. Only a thing matters and that
is years of experience. We make decision on behalf of all. I also
introduced her to the mentors and PoCs of FOSS Nepal via the wiki of FOSS
Nepal. She also talked about organizing events collaboratively where they
would be focusing on their open source technologies like Azure, etc.
Throughout the talk, she was focusing about how she could have a discussion
with the mentors. Then, I told her that first, I'll have to talk to the
mentors and see how their response will be and if they're okay with it then
we can start a conversation about all this. She has given me her contact
details.

Everyone please give your views and should we start a conversation with her
on this?

Regards,
Amit Shrestha
