Dear all, Islamic economic has been developing rapidly during the last decade. Its ability to survive in and overcome the recent world financial crisis has attracted attention from many Indonesian as well as international economists – who see that this Islamic system of economy has great potency to be an alternative economic systems that will bring Indonesia’s, as well as the world’s economic to be more stable, juts and prosperous. In order to facilitate society to know better about recent issues on Islamic Economics and its potency to bring Indonesia’s economic condition toward a better one, we, the Muslim Student Forum (FSI) of Faculty of Economy University of Indonesia now organizing Sharia Economic Days (SEconD) 2010 which is having a brand new and fresh concept. In organizing this event, we get supports from Center of Islamic Economics and Business (PEBS- a research institute) of the Faculty of Economy University of Indonesia. SEconD 2010 is a series of events that consists of (International) Academic Conference with a Call for Paper Competition about Sukuk and Development Challenge in Indonesia, Career Seminar in Islamic Financial Institutions, and (International) Scholarships Expo from universities that offer Islamic economics, finance and business programs, and Islamic Jobs Expo!!! Description of the Events: SEconD 2010: “Leading the Indonesia’s Future through Islamic Finance!” (a "recommended event on Islamic economics by IRTI - Islamic Development Bank) International Academic Conference: (http://secondfeui. com/index. php?option= com_content&view=article&id=8&Itemid=11) Academic conference is contributive event which brings a chance to many parties to sharing their opinion and knowledge about phenomena that is now happening in the Islamic economics development. The event is started by A Call for Paper Competition. The best papers will be presented in the Academic Conference and then published as a proceeding at the end. Riawan Amin* (the Chairman of Abisindo or the Indonesian Islamic Banks Association).
