Are we talking about *the* SCM by the name of Fossil?

Is Fossil SCM the actual name of the Fossil project? Or is Fossil just
another SCM? I realize the website is www.fossil-scm.org but is that
because www.fossil.org was already taken so -scm was appended because
Fossil is an implementation of an SCM?

If the actual name of Fossil is Fossil SCM, then it would seem that
wikipedia is correct. If on the other hand, SCM is not really part of
the official name, then it should probably be edited to just say,
``Fossil.''

But we might say the SQLite Database, or the Windows Operating System,
or the Macintosh Operating System.
