I updated trunk to [233e9328ee], built and re-ran the merge2 test as
usual (100 passes over all files). Since fuzz testing is ever fickle,

The good news is that updating trunk to [1438be02d0] clears all
unexpected test failures. The entire test suite ran to completion with
no failed tests.
