No, 64 bit should not be a problem. (Most of our systems are 64 bit.) In order to help diagnose the problem and a possible workaround, can you please create a link:

IIRC, the libraries had been installed under a different path than the debian path; /usr/lib/libextractor is the debian path. Can you verify where libextractor is being installed?
