Hi Mary, You're right -- the section text is a little skimpy. The "States" are denoted by each of the bold function. Install, Initialize, PostInitialize, OutputOpen, etc. The "Stages" are the section subheadings (Installation, Run-Time Initialization, Output, Cleanup). The picture for "Plugin Process Flow" (http://fossology.org/ui_architecture_overview) shows the order that the stages are processed and which states are invoked. Would you mind revising the paragraph after the heading "Plugin States"?
